I write in a number of formats, drawing from a number of inspirations. In my essay writing, I try to find new connections in the media I love, or a new perspective that can enlighten my experience of that media and use it as a lens to interpret the real world. My short fiction is usually in a sci-fi/horror vein, drawing on the eerie, thought-provoking unrealities of authors like Jeff Vandermeer and Samuel Delany as well as classic TV and film sci-fi. In addition to these works, I’ve penned a number of graphic novel scripts that are currently in art or pitch stages, as well as television scripts.
